It’s been a while since i last wrote int his blog. Yes, this masters program is ‘eating’ my time. Well, I’m telling myself to hang-in-there. I’m doing ICU clerkship from Sept 8th until Oct 8th 08. For roughly a month. And I’m spending most of my fasting month doing this. It’s one of my 4 major clerkships (Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Paediatric and ICU).

Doing this in fasting month is challenging for me. Well, i cant say much. Many of us do all kinds of work during fasting month. Ok, i cannot make it an excuse.

I’m lost of words now. I’ll write later when i have more interesting topic in mind.

Dear Pharmacy Colleagues and Friends,

The Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore will host the 22nd Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) Congress that will take place from the 7th to 10th of November 2008 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.

This congress, with a timely theme of, “Translational Research: The Approach to Quality Healthcare”, will provide a platform for pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and clinicians alike to interact and share their collaborative research and practical experiences in our efforts to achieve quality patient-oriented healthcare.

The 22nd FAPA Organising Committee promises a programme that will provide opportunities for delegates to showcase and discuss their translational research activities, which involve the application of scientific methodologies in pharmaceutical, clinical and population studies. The outcomes of such investigations may impact and improve healthcare in areas such as better drug delivery systems, cost-effective management of disease occurrence; reduction of morbidity and mortality in patients.

Singapore is situated in the heart of fascinating Southeast Asia where the East meets the West. Finally i went out for lepak 2 nights ago at Great Eastern Mall. So many things restricting me.. I dunno why.. And thanks to Sham for inviting me to join her and her friend (our friend actually..but more to her friend)..:-)

The ambience was really relaxing..compared to other Starbucks in crowded shopping complexes. Shud be my next lepak place.. (sorry Sham..we might bump to each other often here after this). I had hot Caramel Macchiato. Sham’s Hazelnut Hot Choc was nicer.. I think, i cant tolerate coffee much nowadays.. Had my ‘acute caffeine overdose’ recently.. Think of changing to hot chocs.. I went to Cold Storage and bought 3-in-1 Dark Choc drink.. hope it taste good.. We lepak and borak for a few hours..then went home…
